Mbappe has an ego. It caused tensions at PSG with Neymar. Now, Mbappe is arguably the best player in the world. However, not everyone agrees and there are who think he still has more to prove and achieve. He definitely wants to silence his critics this season. We also have Vinicius who's likely going to win the ballon d'or. Vinicius has a shot at being the best player in the world and the main player of Madrid, and I imagine he wants to prove it this season. We also have Rodrygo who's a really good player, but who thinks people underestimate him. He got offended when people talked about the new big three of Madrid BMV and he got offended too when he was excluded from the top 30 for the ballon d'or. This season, he certainly wants to show he's better than people think. Could all those things contribute to creating conflicts of egos? Could those attacking players become selfish and prioritize taking difficult shots instead of passing the ball for a teammate's easier attempt? Or maybe will all that results in healthy competition and Marid becoming much better? I haven't even said anything about Endrick and Guler who want to prove themselves with all the hype around them.
