Along the route, you'll find plenty of opportunities to drive off-highway vehicles, but the road itself is accessible by passenger cars.
Parker Dam Road's unique juxtaposition of cool river and stark desert terrain makes it a unique and fulfilling visit. Visit the Lake Havasu BLM Field Office before you hit the road to fully enjoy the Colorado River and its surrounding amenities.
Navigating the Byway:
From the east end of California State Hwy 62, Parker Dam Road winds north 11 miles along the Colorado River. From Arizona, cross the bridge between Parker, AZ and Earp, CA. Turn right (toward Parker Dam). From Arizona Highway 95, take 95 S over Parker Dam, where the road becomes Parker Dam Road.
