But for those who want visible skin lifting on the brow, under the chin and neck, or to smooth lines and wrinkles on the décolleté—without sacrificing even a day to downtime—she suggests a non-invasive treatment called Ultherapy, which uses targeted ultrasound energy to stimulate your body’s own collagen and elastin production to create smoother, lifted skin. The newest version of the in-office device, Ultherapy PRIME, allows practitioners to deliver effective and personalized treatments. It’s safe for all skin types, and it doesn’t cause sun sensitivity. And the results from a single treatment can last up to a year or more. A Q&A with Jennifer Levine, MD Q What does Ultherapy PRIME do best? A Ultherapy PRIME is my go-to treatment for lifting the skin on the brow, under the chin and neck. Q How does it work? A Ultherapy PRIME uses ultrasound in two different ways. First, it delivers the treatment itself, a specific form of ultrasound energy called micro-focused ultrasound, to a specific layer of tissues in a series of dots called thermal coagulation points. These dots are at around 65 degrees centigrade, which is the optimum temperature for the production of collagen and elastin. Second, it uses ultrasound technology for real-time visualization. It gives me, as a practitioner, an idea about how robust the person’s tissue is to begin with. Like, I might see the patient has wispy layers that are not really collagen-dense, and then I’m able to apply energy specifically to those layers. Q What does the treatment feel like? A The treatment could take up to an hour if you’re having multiple areas treated. As ultrasound energy is delivered, you may feel the sensation of heat or tingling, indicating that the collagen and elastin-building process has been initiated. Discomfort is relative to the patient, but I have personally found most people aren’t really complaining about pain. That said, patient comfort is important in my practice: We do some topical numbing, and we can provide additional options to make the patient more comfortable. Q If you wanted to get Ultherapy PRIME ahead of a big event, how far in advance should you plan to get treatment? Why? A Technically, you could get treated with Ultherapy PRIME the day of the event, if needed. There is zero downtime. That said, your skin might appear flushed at first. Redness should disappear within a few hours. Some patients experience slight swelling, tingling, or tenderness to the touch, but these are mild and temporary in nature. If you wanted to have more developed results by the time of the event, you should plan to get treated two or three months in advance. You may see some initial lift immediately after the treatment, but the ultimate results of Ultherapy PRIME unfold gradually, as the growth of new collagen and elastin develops. Q How often do patients typically come in for treatment? A A single Ultherapy PRIME treatment provides results that can last up to a year or more. Annual treatments can help patients maintain their results in the long-term, and at least 30 to 40 percent of my patients who come to me for Ultherapy end up coming back to do it again. There isn’t an obstacle to performing the treatment more frequently. Let’s say you have an event coming up and you can’t do surgery. In that case, I might do Ultherapy PRIME treatment more frequently for a patient looking for a specific outcome. Q Can Ultherapy PRIME delay or prevent the need for a facelift? A Although Ultherapy won’t duplicate the results of a facelift, it is a clinically proven, non-invasive alternative for skin lifting. It is a great option for those not ready for surgery. Q Can you combine Ultherapy PRIME with other treatments? What can you do to complement Ultherapy PRIME results, both in office and at home? A Ultherapy PRIME does not typically restrict patients’ ability to receive other treatments, but it varies from patient to patient based on their own specific needs. In order to get the most natural-looking results, we want to have the new collagen and elastin, we want to have some support to the tissue, and we want to prevent hypertonic muscles. For some patients, Ultherapy PRIME can be used with complementary treatments to enhance results, and at home, I recommend using products that are non-irritating. Most children are too young to volunteer at brick-and-mortar nonprofit offices, which is a shame since they are often more passionate than adults. Still, there are ways to get kids started on their path toward compassion, and many start at home with just their imagination and a few supplies. My son, Bear, has done so much activism on his own. He started a stand at our community farmers’ market selling local oranges when he was quite small. He made an adorable messed-up sign, used orange crates, and then donated the money he earned — his idea — to Farm Sanctuary. When I was shooting “Sister Of The Groom” in the Hamptons, he was upset by people fishing on the beach, so he made a lemonade stand and sold snacks, and raised $60 (well, it was the Hamptons after all!) and donated it all to Sea Shepherd! Bear asks to volunteer at Gentle Barn all the time. The amazing thing is his young, compassionate heart comes up with these ideas entirely on his own. Bear is also happy to sort through his possessions and donate items to kids in need. He routinely cleans beaches wherever we go, on his own accord. I’m always so inspired when I see him on a mission. Here are some easy volunteer ideas to help get you and your kiddos making a difference together. 1. Cause Clothing Kids can share their message (of kindness, eco-consciousness, animal rights, etc) easily on their sleeves. Wearing clothing with messages is a real conversation starter and allows kids to preach to their cohorts naturally. Every nonprofit sells message clothing, but kids could also make their own using fabric pens, tie-dye, or collage. 2. Love Rocks Paint a rock with a message of inspiration and leave it on a neighbor’s doorstep or in your local town or woods for someone to stumble across. This works as both craft and service. 3. Toy Story Have your child go through their toys and clothes and see what they are willing to donate to a local women and children’s shelter. Hand them a box and deliver the box together. You can also use givebackbox to mail them in. 4. Discount Time Scour your local farmer’s market or supermarket together for foodstuffs on special/ sale, and stock them up to deliver to your local food pantry. 5. Garbage Girl Take a nature walk with a biodegradable garbage bag and pick up trash on the way. 6. Foster Friends Foster an animal for your local rescue group (they can all be easily found on petfinder or adoptapet) and let your child participate in the exciting part of rehoming and looking forward to who is coming next as your foster mission continues. 7. Senior Sweetness If your child doesn’t have a grandparent, consider having them “adopt a senior” at a local nursing home. Although covid restrictions won’t allow them to visit, they can surely send beautiful drawings and crafts over. 8. Peace, Man In the same vein, create a poster, sign, or piece of art that sends a message of equality, and hang it where it can be seen near your home. 9. Postcard Play Make a stack of postcards and mail them to your local legislator encouraging them to pass bills that better protect animals or the environment. 10. Muffin Madness Bake a tray of muffins or pick up a vat of coffee together, and deliver them to your local police station, school, or hospital to thank them for their service and dedication. No good deed is too small to improve our communities. Any long journey starts with a single step!

You may have no idea just how much good your old stuff could be doing for others. Rather than letting things you no longer have use for decompose and off-gas in a big, heaping pile of trash, you can ethically purge those items instead and donate your used household items. It’s easier than you think. Plus, there is nothing better than the feeling of a good, deep cleanse. It will help you to be more mindful of your consumerism. Be sure to ask yourself “Is this something I truly need/ Will it truly give me joy/ Does this piece have longevity in my life” before you bring anything home. The less clutter you accumulate, the less you’ll have to reassign to the landfill in the future. Think about the excitement you’d feel if someone surprised you with a vintage, storied handbag or a fun piece of antique jewelry. There is almost nothing from your home that needs to go in a garbage can. So if there is something you don’t know what to do with – you will after reading this list. How to Donate Used Household Items Give away items to someone you know would love or could use a particular thing. For example; let’s just assume you have a 4-year-old boy – find a friend with a 2-year-old boy and give her all your small boys clothes and out-aged toys. Hand-me-downs are also often called “pre-loved” for a reason! Better yet, join a Facebook “swap” group and dole out your outgrown sizes/stuff for things that are of use to you. Hold a clothing swap with your crew, but open it up to include housewares, toys, etc. Serve refreshments, play fun music, and make it a girl’s night sort of gathering! Sell your clothing to a local consignment/ resale shop, make some cash, and clean out your unused duds. Note that there are upscale consignment shops that are very picky and ones that are open to all brands in good condition. Do a Google search for consignment shops in your area and visit their websites to get a vibe for what they are looking for before you waste your time bringing in 5 garbage bags of clothes. Order a ThredUp bag and toss everything (men/women/kids/ shoes/ bags) you no longer want in it and ship it back (free) to them – You can opt to have them recycle all items they don’t accept so you don’t end up in the same conundrum you were originally in. There are many other apps and sites like Poshmark that you can sell your stuff on, but with those you have to upload the pix and run the sale yourself – which may take more time than you’re interested in spending – you most likely, however, make more money. Send high-end items to The RealReal and make some dough or web store credit – only send in big-name designers for this one though – but working with them always pays off. The great thing about selling to The RealReal is conscious eco-fashion designers like Stella McCartney offer you incentives to earn $100 to shop Stella when you consign any Stella McCartney item on The RealReal. Sell your items yourself on eBay – there’s no end to what you can sell. You can choose to donate that additional income to your favorite charity to keep motivated to list more items. Have a yard sale. Use GiveBackBox – which will allow you to print out a free shipping label to donate your old items to a local charity in need. Donate to any local shelter, hospital, home for women/children, homeless shelter, church, synagogue, mosque, pre-school, local public school, library, police or fire station, etc. My kids’ schools were always more than overjoyed to take any toys or books my kids had outgrown. Before presuming your local school isn’t interested in your gently used items, ask! Covid precautions mean that many non-profits aren’t currently accepting donations — so make sure to call or email before donating. If you have a handful of items of the same kind, Google the type of item you want to donate – example: “donate old shoes,” sure enough – up pops soles4souls.org which allows you to ship your old shoes (for free) to be distributed in poverty-stricken countries. Donate your old glasses so your glasses become someone else’s best hope of seeing. Ethically recycle non-working/ destroyed items. There are textile (clothing) recycling bins all over – google your local one if you can’t find it easily. The same goes for electronic equipment. There are often free shipping programs you can use to ship items to recycling centers not close to you. TerraCycle will take nearly anything you could possibly imagine recycling, and more! Sell your old electronics. A number of stores and sites will take them. (See a list here.) Send them your old working (or even nonworking depending on the product.) electronics (mainly phones and computers and iPads) and these items don’t sit in a landfill forever, and you get paid for your conscious efforts! Donate old sheets, towels, carpets, rugs, teddy bears, crockery, heating pads, baby gates/ baby playpens, and rags to any animal shelters, rescue groups, or animal foster families. There is a company that accepts old teddy bears which they use to make into new dog toys! Same with old sheets! Wildlife rescues will also accept old fur coats to rehabilitate orphaned wildlife. Sell anything using your social media accounts, Instagram or Facebook, etc. – this keeps buyers close by, and the sales easier, and more trustworthy if from your inner circle or friends of friends. Take your penny jar/spare change to the bank and put it in your account or give it to your kids to bring to their school to donate to a “penny fundraiser.” Offer your goods up for free on platforms like Freecycle or Craigslist – you’d be shocked what people want. Extra 2 packs of shower caps? Half a mannequin? A used cat tree? All these things are prime Freecycle fare and bonus – they pick up and you don’t have to deal with pick up or booking a Goodwill pick up! Live in a neighborhood where people drive your front yard? Leave your items on your lawn with a “Free to a good home!” sign for people to grab what they want. Ever seen the waste that gets tossed in the trash after a catered event? There are groups like Rescuing Leftover Cuisine that will physically pick up every leftover and disseminate them to the homeless! You can also call ahead to your local shelter or Boys & Girls Club and offer them your leftovers so they can expect them and be ready to receive them the day of your event. Want a more hands-on approach? Drive your leftovers to an area where there are folks in need, and give them out. Be creative: reinvent and repurpose old items. Example: We had an old bookshelf of about 5 years that was useless and broken as a bookshelf so we turned it on its side and used it as a toy storage for the kids. It stayed that way for at least 5 years before we recycled it. Use Pinterest to come up with new ideas to reuse items that have overstayed their welcome in their current incarnation. Finally; Maybe you don’t actually need to get rid of it – maybe it just needs a repair or a facelift. Example; I once had a stained old faux-leather beige knapsack from college. I loved this knapsack and didn’t want to let it go, so I brought it to the shoemaker and he dyed it chocolate brown. And, voila – my old backpack lasted another 10 years til I decided to donate it to a clothing drive.

While the world is often uncertain, the love of a companion animal is not. After all, we know the love of a cat or dog is unconditional, and there are many health benefits to caring for a furry friend—including senior pets. So, where is the best place to find a companion animal? The shelter, of course, or a local rescue group. If being a full-time pet parent isn’t conducive, fostering a pet is just as rewarding and is guaranteed to save a life. Sadly though, seniors, as is common with black animals, are often overlooked and are typically the first to be euthanized. There are common prejudices regarding senior pets…. they are untrainable, you won’t have them as long, or they come with issues. But here’s the real truth: shelters, more often than not, accidentally over-age animals. Since examining the teeth is one of the best ways to determine an animal’s age, putting stray or uncared-for animals at a disadvantage. So, the 14-year-old dog that caught your eye at the shelter, could actually be only 8 years old. There are a lot of benefits to adopting a senior pet, too; they come already trained (and if they don’t, you really can teach an old dog new tricks!). Seniors are also extremely grateful. They’ve had a tough life and only want to spend their remaining years being loved. With a good diet and lots of attention, they can live longer than you might think (and having a young dog doesn’t necessarily guarantee you’ll have them any longer). And regarding issues, well, who doesn’t have some! My dog Murphy was a shelter dog with no chance. He was picked up by an animal control officer when he entered an LA county shelter. He was listed as a 13-year-old Pomeranian and was overlooked because of his age and color. The day he was scheduled to be euthanized the volunteer reached out to a local rescue group. Luckily, Murphy was rescued in time. And he was not 13, he was approximately 9 years old. He was emaciated, covered in fleas, and in such bad shape the shelter hadn’t neutered him. Now, at 18 years old with heart and kidney disease, and no teeth, he is proof that good things come in small packages. Bottom line is this: pets are there for us unconditionally and can teach us a thing or two about compassion. It shouldn’t be based on your color, your age, or where you come from. Busta Rhymes has reportedly turned himself in to police after an incident in New York, where he allegedly lashed out at his assistant, Dashiel Gables, for allegedly being on his phone at work. TMZ reports that the rapper is facing multiple charges following the assault incident on January 10. RELATED: WHEW! Busta Rhymes Goes OFF On Crowd For Being On Their Cellphones During His Essence Fest Performance (WATCH) Details On Busta Rhymes’ Alleged Assault Incident With His Assistant According to the New York Post, police allege that Busta Rhymes, whose real name is Trevor Smith Jr., punched his assistant Dashiel Gables in the face multiple times, leaving him with swelling in his left eye. TMZ shares that after the assault, Rhymes fled the scene, and Gables immediately called the police. Authorities and paramedics quickly responded, and Gables was taken to a nearby hospital to receive treatment. On Tuesday, January 14, Busta Rhymes voluntarily turned himself in to the NYPD and was reportedly issued a desk appearance ticket for misdemeanor assault, attempted assault, and harassment. A desk appearance ticket means Rhymes must appear in court on a designated date to address the charges. As of now, Busta Rhymes has not responded to the allegations or commented on the incident. Per sources, Allsop allegedly smelled of alcohol and “may have shown other signs of intoxication.” Furthermore, WJCL adds that the pilot’s arrest occurred at Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. Subsequently, surveillance footage captured Monroe walking out of the store and toward her car. Around the same time, a man in an orange jacket is seen walking toward the store. At that point, Monroe is seen trying to open her car door. However, the man approaches her and appears to try to grab the items from her hands. From there, another man is seen running out of the convenience store in an apparent effort to defend the 83-year-old. However, as the woman tries to enter her car, the suspect runs toward her. Ultimately, he’s seen aggressively yanking her from the car and dragging her to the ground. At that point, the man then runs out of surveillance view. Ruth Monroe Speaks Out Amid The Suspect’s Arrest Per the outlet, authorities immediately identified the suspect as Fleury. Additionally, they released a warrant for his arrest, charging him with “robbery, sudden snatching, and battery on a person 65 or older.” Then, on Thursday, January 16, police announced that Fleury had been arrested via X, formerly known as Twitter. An unmissable appointment for those who loved the legendary Fiorucci store in Milan, the Elio Fiorucci exhibition has just opened and will remain at the Triennale Milano until 16 March 2025. To all intents and purposes, it is a chronological but also an emotional journey, curated by Judith Clark with exhibition design by Fabio Cherstich. The exhibition is the largest and richest in works and documents ever dedicated to Elio Fiorucci and proposes the various stages of the creative genius of such a multifaceted figure: a brilliant entrepreneur, the very first cool hunter and the founder of the brand that revolutionised costume, fashion and the contemporary art scene in Italy from the 1960s onwards. The exhibition is proposed as a retrospective with a clear biographical intent, encompassing the human, entrepreneurial and cultural vicissitudes of Elio Fiorucci, taking a new look at his figure. It also presents the research developed by academics and collaborators, recounting Fiorucci’s unique vision and a series of experiments that revolutionised Italian and global fashion and marketing. The exhibition focuses in particular on the designer’s life and biography. Following a chronological order, materials from his personal archive as well as industrial products are presented, recounting Fiorucci’s unmistakable aesthetic. The exhibition design emphasises the theatricality of the different parts that make up the story: the entire exhibition is traversed by Elio Fiorucci’s voice – rendered through hitherto unpublished recordings – which retraces some personal moments and is set in dialogue with the voices of other protagonists of the stylist’s history, creating a narrative that is interwoven with the brand’s story. According to Baldoni’s new $400 million lawsuit obtained by Us Weekly on Thursday, January 16, Lively allegedly “induced the other cast members to shun Baldoni, in an early attempt to give fans the impression that Baldoni had committed an egregious sin.” Court documents stated that Lively, her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and It Ends With Us author Colleen Hoover all unfollowed Baldoni on social media. “Other cast members also unfollowed Baldoni, creating the false impression that Baldoni had done something wrong,” the documents alleged. Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's Reported 'It Ends With Us' Drama Explained “The unfollowing of Baldoni by cast members and even the author of the book, who he had a longstanding relationship with, was done without warning or any communication from them,” the lawsuit alleges, “in stark contrast to the warm praise and appreciation cast members had until that point always showered on him.” Baldoni’s team proceeded to cite text messages allegedly from cast member Isabela Ferrer who wrote: “Thank you for being a great director and being so wonderful to work with already.” In December 2024, Lively first accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign against her. In the complaint obtained by Us, Lively alleged that Baldoni created a “hostile work environment” and caused her “severe emotional distress.” Justin Baldoni. Frazer Harrison/Getty Images Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, denied the accusations in a statement to Us and claimed Lively filed the suit to “fix her negative reputation” and “rehash a narrative” about what went down before the film hit theaters in August 2024. After the New York Times published an article outlining Lively’s allegations, the actress received support on social media from cast members including Brandon Sklenar and Jenny Slate as well as Hoover, who also served as an executive producer. “Blake Lively you have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met,” Hoover wrote via her Instagram Story in December 2024. “Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt.” In a second statement, Hoover declared that “Blake’s ability to refuse to sit down and ‘be buried’ has been nothing short of inspiring.” Following Baldoni’s lawsuit against Lively, his attorney released a statement to Us stating the suit “is a legal action based on an overwhelming amount of untampered evidence detailing Blake Lively and her team’s duplicitous attempt to destroy Justin Baldoni, his team and their respective companies by disseminating grossly edited, unsubstantiated, new and doctored information to the media.” Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s Alleged Feud and Lawsuits Explained The statement continued, “It is clear based on our own all out willingness to provide all complete text messages, emails, video footage and other documentary evidence that was shared between the parties in real time, that this is a battle she will not win and will certainly regret. Blake Lively was either severely misled by her team or intentionally and knowingly misrepresented the truth.” “Ms. Lively will never again be allowed to continue to exploit actual victims of real harassment solely for her personal reputation gain at the expense of those without power,” the statement read. “Let’s not forget, Ms. Lively and her team attempted to bulldoze reputations and livelihoods for heinously selfish reasons through their own dangerous manipulation of the media before even taking any actual legal action. As a result, he’s been suspended one game without pay for “for making inappropriate contact with and verbally abusing a game official,” the NBA announced Thursday, January 16, in a release. The incident came late in the fourth quarter as Mathurin, 22, chased down Cavaliers center Evan Mobley and attempted to block Mobley’s dunk attempt. Sago, 35, called Mathurin for a foul, causing the third-year player out of Arizona to immediately begin arguing, clapping directly behind Sago’s face and bumping into her. Crew chief Zach Zarba confirmed after the game via an NBA pool report that Mathurin was “correctly called for” a foul after hitting Mobley. NBA Star Anthony Edwards Can't Stop Cursing — And Getting Fined for It Sago assessed Mathurin with two technical fouls and ejected him from the game as his teammates held him back while he continued protesting the call. Mathurin finished the game with 19 points and four rebounds. The suspension will cost him $41,642, according to ESPN. Mathurin, however, is in the midst of his first pro contract, worth $29,936,173 over four years. “It was the moment,” Mathurin said after the game. “The game is so intense, especially myself — being this competitive, I just want to win. It was an unfortunate situation, but I was able to learn from it.” Chennedy Carter Says She Has ‘No Regrets’ After Caitlin Clark Foul Mathurin added that he has apologized to Sago. “I went to see Natalie and everything’s all right,” he continued. “[I] wanted to apologize for the unfortunate situation. We were able to end on good terms. I wish her to have a great night, and the next time we meet, it’s all friendly.” Sago has been a full-time NBA referee since 2018 when she became only the fifth woman ever to hold the position. She had officiated 233 career games coming into this season and earned NBA All-Star duties in 2022 — an assignment that goes to the best officials in the league. Pacers coach Rick Carlisle called the incident an “emotional moment.” “It happens all the time … disagreement on a call,” he said. “[Mathurin] got run and we just move on.” The Pacers’ next game is Thursday night, on the road against the Detroit Pistons. January 15, 2025 One day after withdrawing his original legal petition, Drake filed a federal lawsuit accusing UMG of defamation and harassment, claiming that the label “chose corporate greed over the safety and well-being of its artists.” In an 81-page complaint, Drake’s attorneys alleged that Lamar’s safety inspired numerous break-in attempts at his Toronto home as well as a shooting that left a security guard injured. As so many people embark on some of the most challenging times of their lives, there are also many amazing organizations and groups banding together to help these communities rebuild.” Swift further provided a list of the nonprofits she sent donations to including 211 LA, the California Community Foundation Fund, Direct Relief, Habitat for Humanity, the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, MusicCares and more. Swift concluded, “If you feel compelled or able to donate, please do.” Celebs Share How to Help Those Affected by LA Wildfires: Guide to Resources A string of wildfires broke out in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of L.A. on January 7, quickly spreading to other surrounding areas. The fires have ravaged thousands of acres of property, including many owned by celebrities and other residents. In addition, many individuals fled their homes under mandatory or voluntary evacuation orders. According to NBC News, there has been 25 deaths at the time of publication. It is not known whether Swift specifically was affected though she does have a Southern California residence, in addition to homes in New York City, Watch Hill, Rhode Island and Nashville. The Grammy winner also spends time in Kansas City, which is where boyfriend Travis Kelce lives and plays for the Chiefs professional football team. Haack, 41, was ordered to pay Hall, 44, a sum of $150,000, according to new court documents obtained by the Daily Mail. “No later than five days after the close of the escrow, [Christina] is ordered to deposit $150,000 from the sale of the home into [Josh’s] counsel-client trust that is interest-bearing with restricted access,” the filing reads. According to the Daily Mail, a judge issued the order in October 2024. The documents were filed earlier this month when Haack retained new legal representation. Christina Haack Reveals She and Ex Josh Hall Are Headed for Trial Haack and Hall had been married for two years, each filing for divorce in July 2024. Earlier this month, the Christina on the Coast star confirmed the divorce isn’t settled yet. “[We’re] not even close,” she said on Jeff Lewis Live on January 9. “We’re going to be going to trial, I hear. It’s going to be fun. He told Fallon, 50, that when the audience watches The Night Agent, he wants them to feel that his performance is believable. “I don’t want the audiences watching the show, and then right as I’m about to get hit or hip tossed or thrown on my back, you know. I owe my entire career, and life really, to his vision,” MacLachlan, 65, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, January 16. “What I saw in him was an enigmatic and intuitive man with a creative ocean bursting forth inside of him. He was in touch with something the rest of us wish we could get to.” MacLachlan wrote that his friendship with Lynch “blossomed” on Blue Velvet and Twin Peaks, gushing that he “always found him to be the most authentically alive person I’d ever met.” (Lynch directed both the film and TV show, while MacLachlan starred in them.) “David was in tune with the universe and his own imagination on a level that seemed to be the best version of human. General Hospital co-head writers Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte aren’t holding back when it comes to their vision for the long-running ABC soap. The pair are teaming up for the first time after the show replaced Van Etten and former co-head writer Dan O’Connor last year. It then hired Korte and veteran soap writer Patrick Mulcahey, but Mulcahey’s tenure was short-lived, and Van Etten soon returned. The pair teased fans with what to expect from General Hospital while they’re at the helm of the writers room, calling their version of Port Charles “volatile and sexy” in an interview with TV Insider published Wednesday, January 15. 'General Hospital' Faces More Shakeups After Cast Exits and Returns “It’s an incredible responsibility. We must honor the show’s history and the audience’s love for it, as well as the work of all those who preceded us — all while creating new story to challenge and grow its characters,” they elaborated. “We’re privileged to write for such a talented cast, many of whom have embodied their roles for decades. My childhood home is at the top of where everything was happening and where the fires were really, really bad,” Floyd, 32, exclusively told Us Weekly on Wednesday, January 15. “The church that we grew up in, the schools, the grocery stores, our favorite pastrami shop, every single thing is gone. It’s just devastating.” The Eaton Fire, which started in Altadena, has burned more than 14,000 acres and more than 7,000 structures have been damaged or destroyed. The trees and the mountains and the houses had so much character, and then it’s also special because that was one of the first places that opened up to allow Black people to buy homes over there. A lot of those houses are 4/5th generational homes, and that’s gone.” With the help of her husband, Zach Davis, family and complete strangers, Floyd is trying her best to help as many people rebuild and adjust to a brand-new reality. One night, Floyd started an Amazon wishlist for her Snapchat followers with nearly 100 items added. After fans from across the country fulfilled orders immediately, Floyd kept expanding. “The next day, I just sat on my couch and I added thousands of products, and then I was like, ‘I wonder if this is gonna work,’” she said. “I woke up the next morning and I looked at Zach and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, there’s 1,600 orders.
