The Blue Buck Knob Scenic Byway travels through Missouri's Ozark hill country within the Mark Twain National Forest. It twists and turns through farmland, open pastures, and densely wooded hillsides.
Navigating the Byway:
This byway can be entered from the north or from the south.
Take SR 14 west to County Road AP, and turn right on to AP. Continue along this road through the Mark Twain National Forest. About 12 miles along the byway, County Road AP will meet up with SR 181 North. After about two miles turn left onto SR 76 West (SR 181 joins with SR 76 for about 4 miles). The byway leaves SR 76 West when SR 181 branches north again. The byway ends at the forest boundaries. Continue along SR 181 to connect with US 60 or US 63.
Take SR 181 from US 60/US 63. The byway begins at the forest border. It will connect with SR 76 east. Take the SR 181 South junction off of SR 76. The byway continues along SR 181 for about two miles. Take County Road AP through the heart of the Mark Twain National Forest. The byway ends at its junction with SR 14.
